Role: AI Engineer – Gen AI Specialist

Location: London, England, United Kingdom

About the role:

We’re seeking a highly capable Gen AI Specialist to support the development and delivery of AI-driven solutions, with a strong focus on visual content creation. This role centres on image and video generation, model training, and creative AI experimentation. You will work closely with our Gen AI & AI Technology Lead to prototype, refine, and deliver AI outputs that integrate seamlessly into our CGI workflows.

You will collaborate with creatives, producers, and CGI artists to bring AI-powered visual concepts to life, enabling faster, more flexible content creation for global clients. You will also apply data-driven methodologies to support content production, tools, and automation, leveraging AI wherever possible.

What you will be doing:

• AI Visual Generation

• Support rapid prototyping using:

• Text-to-Image / Text-to-Video

• Image-to-Image / Video-to-Video

• Image-to-Video & Video-to-Image workflows

• Produce high-quality, product-accurate AI imagery and video content.

• Model Training & Optimisation

• Train and fine-tune LoRA models.

• Optimise models using a combination of CGI datasets, photographic references, look-dev materials, etc.

• Explore emerging image/video generation techniques and model architectures.

• Workflow Collaboration

• Work with CGI Artists to ensure outputs meet client-approved visual standards.

• Help translate experimental results into reliable, repeatable workflows.

• Contribute to testing, validating, and refining AI tools used by the wider team.

• R&D and Exploration

• Stay informed about new developments in the Gen AI and ML landscape.

• Identify and evaluate new tools, methodologies, and models.

• Document findings clearly for internal use and knowledge-sharing.

• Actively share expertise and learnings with the team.

What you need to be great in this role:

• Strong enthusiasm for AI, Machine Learning, and emerging technologies.

• Hands-on experience generating image or video content using AI models.

• Familiarity with LoRA training and model fine-tuning.

• Interest in LLM development and integration.

• Understanding of modular, data-driven workflow design.

• Strong visual sensibility and an interest in CGI aesthetics.

• Experience with tools such as ComfyUI, Qwen, WAN, or equivalent platforms.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative R&D environment.

• Confidence to experiment—explore, learn from setbacks, and iterate quickly.

• Nice to Have

• Python skills for automation and tooling.

• Familiarity with CGI pipelines, VFX workflows, or look development.

• Understanding of GPU compute usage and optimisation.
