AI Engineer - Finance (F/M)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Inspection back-office team.

The successful candidate will play a key role in analyzing our core back office processes, brainstorm/test/trial ideas, and implement solutions with our tech teams to enhance overall operations efficiency.

About the Role

As part of our Intelligent Finance initiative, we are developing AI-powered solutions designed to enhance financial operations, improve decision-making, and generate long-term business value. Over recent months, several advanced AI-driven finance tools have been developed and integrated with our NetSuite ERP and other core internal systems. These solutions are currently in prototype and validation phases and have not yet deployed into live production environments.

The AI Engineer will play a central role in transforming these prototypes into robust, production-ready solutions, while also contributing to the design and development of new AI capabilities as the program evolves. This position sits within the Engineering function supporting the Finance organization and operates with close alignment to executive finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver AI/ML-powered solutions that improve internal efficiency and generate actionable business and financial insights.
• Work closely with finance stakeholders, business leaders, and data scientists to translate user needs into scalable AI solutions.
• Harden, test, and deploy AI/ML prototypes into production-ready systems.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and algorithms to address complex business and finance challenges.
• Ensure effective data collection, integration, and validation from multiple internal and enterprise systems, including ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into existing architectures and workflows.
• Monitor, evaluate, and continuously optimize model performance to ensure reliability, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, following software development best practices.
• Identify opportunities to enhance finance and operational processes through AI-driven automation and insights.
• Support change management and adoption, including user onboarding, training, and post-deployment follow-up to ensure successful usage of AI solutions.
• Champion an AI-first mindset by promoting the use of AI tools and technologies in day-to-day operations, encouraging experimentation and adoption of AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, strengthen processes, and elevate service quality.

 

Profile & Qualifications

• Final-year engineering students seeking an end-of-studies internship or junior profiles available for a 6-month assignment.
• Strong interest in building a long-term career in Asia and working in an international environment.
• Prior V.I.E. experience or strong motivation to undertake a V.I.E. program is a plus.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies, data handling, and system integration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working on technically complex topics with a high level of autonomy and ownership.
• Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
• A genuine enthusiasm for Artificial Intelligence and its practical applications in operations, quality control, or client management; experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making is a strong plus.
