Description -

We are looking for a highly capable engineer who is excited to build the data and AI foundations behind the next generation of intelligent products and industrial solutions. In this role, you will help shape scalable data platforms, production-grade software components, and AI-ready systems that enable better decisions, smarter operations, and meaningful innovation in additive manufacturing.

This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of software engineering, data engineering, and applied AI, with real ownership and visible business impact. You will contribute to systems that must be reliable, secure, scalable, and built to support advanced analytics, machine learning, and LLM-enabled use cases. We are looking for someone who combines strong engineering discipline with curiosity, product thinking, and a drive to turn modern data and AI capabilities into practical value.

Responsibilities

AI & Data Engineering

- Design and build scalable data pipelines, data models, and data services that power analytics, machine learning, and AI applications in production.

- Raise the quality and trustworthiness of data through automated validation, monitoring, lineage, and observability practices.

- Prepare and optimize structured and unstructured datasets for advanced analytics, ML, and LLM-enabled use cases.

- Partner with product, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver data products and intelligent workflows with measurable operational impact.

Applied AI & Intelligent Solutions

- Help turn AI opportunities into deployable solutions by building AI-ready datasets, reusable data assets, and robust data preparation workflows.

- Contribute to ML and LLM use cases by enabling traceability, versioning, metadata management, and governance across the data lifecycle.

- Apply modern engineering practices and AI-assisted development tools to improve delivery speed, solution quality, and team productivity.

Software Engineering & Platform Development

- Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software applications, services, and APIs using secure, scalable, and maintainable engineering practices.

- Build and operate platform components that make data and AI solutions easier to deploy, integrate, and use across the organization.

- Review code, solve performance and reliability issues, and continuously improve system resilience, scalability, and maintainability.

- Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, analytics, and business teams to deliver and support high-quality production solutions.

Education & Experience

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 4–7 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or closely related technical roles, with a strong track record of delivering production systems.

Knowledge & Skills

- Programming: Python, Java, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL

- Cloud & Data Platforms: Azure, AWS or GCP; modern data platform and storage concepts

- Software Engineering: APIs, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and scalable platform design

- Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, orchestration, data quality, and big data processing

- AI & Analytics: familiarity with ML workflows, LLM-enabled use cases, AI-ready data preparation, and data governance principles

- Methodologies: Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, testing, and continuous improvement mindset

- Domain knowledge in additive manufacturing will be valued

Soft Skills

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams

- Analytical problem-solving skills with a practical, engineering-first approach to complex challenges

- Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset in a fast-evolving technology landscape
