Required Skills
Job Description
We’re looking for an AI Creative Technologist - a hybrid thinker and maker - to join our consulting unit and our ever-evolving team. This role combines creative intuition with deep AI fluency to reimagine how Interweave works across strategy, copy, design, and production. You’ll join our AI transformation team across Athens, London, and Dubai to accelerate innovation and build the workflows, agents, and systems that will define the next era of creative production at our agency.
As a Creative Technologist at Interweave you’re not just up to date - you’re constantly searching for what’s next. You explore, prototype, and build. You help others imagine the future by showing it to them first. You’ll work alongside interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize and develop AI-powered tools, agents, and processes that merge storytelling, design, and intelligent automation. Your understanding of LLMs, agentic systems, prompt and context engineering, and creative craft will allow you to turn complexity into clarity - and imagination into implementation.
About Interweave
We are an ideas and innovation company. An alloy of strategy consultants and creative makers. An award-winning integrated marketing, digital and communications agency, founded in 2013 and based in Athens, London, and Dubai. We work with 147+ clients across 6 plus 1 industries, Culture & Education, Retail & Real Estate, Travel & Hospitality, FMCG & Food, Public Sector & Social Causes, Tech & Innovation, and Blue & Green Economy.
Our mission is to Drive Change - delivering positive and long-lasting impact through creative innovation. AI is one of the most powerful levers we have to deliver on that mission, and this role sits at the centre of how we use it.
What you’ll do
🔁 Innovation & Concept Development
• Partner with creative directors, strategists, copywriters, and designers to prototype AI-powered experiences — from brand-voice agents to generative campaigns to interactive installations.
• Translate briefs and RFPs into creative-tech strategies that blend storytelling with the right AI capabilities. Be the person who makes a pitch land because the demo actually works.
• Run co-creation workshops where your hybrid skill set surfaces opportunities the rest of the team can’t see yet.
• Build internal tooling that compounds the agency’s output: brand-brain assistants per client, copy-critique loops, asset-generation pipelines, research agents.
🤖 AI Systems & Agentic Workflows
• Design and ship multi-step agent workflows — not just chatbots. Think MCP servers connecting Claude or Gemini to our internal tools, RAG pipelines over brand archives, evaluation loops that catch hallucinations before they hit a deck.
• Apply mid-to-advanced prompt and context engineering: system prompts, tool use, structured outputs, RAG, light fine-tuning when it’s actually warranted.
• Choose the right model for the job — Claude, Gemini, GPT, open-source — and defend the choice on cost, context window, multimodality, EU data residency, and latency.
• Build evals. If we can’t measure brand-voice drift or factual accuracy, we can’t scale the system to 147 clients.
💻 Build & Code
• You don’t need to be a senior engineer, but you ship working software. Comfortable in Python and/or TypeScript, comfortable on the command line, comfortable with Git/GitHub workflows.
• Use Claude Code, Cursor, or similar agentic dev tools daily — not as a novelty but as your default way of moving fast.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, web frameworks, and lightweight backend deployment is a plus. ComfyUI and node-based pipelines are a plus.
• Quick prototypes over perfect architecture. Production-readiness when the prototype proves itself.
🤝 Collaboration & Communication
• Act as the bridge between creative, strategy, and technical teams — fluent in all three, native in none of the silos.
• Explain AI capabilities and limits to non-technical clients and colleagues without hype and without condescension.
• Mentor the rest of the team on practical AI use — prompts, tools, when not to use AI, where the human craft stays essential.
Requirements:
What we’re looking for
Portfolio & experience
• A portfolio that demonstrates real applications of AI in writing, design, video, or interactive work — with results, not just experiments.
• 3+ years in advertising, design, production, or product environments. Agency experience is a strong plus.
• At least one shipped AI-powered tool, agent, or workflow you can talk about in depth — what it does, how you built it, what broke, what you’d change.
AI fluency
You don’t need to know all of these, but the more you can navigate, the better:
• LLMs & agents: Anthropic Claude (incl. Claude Code, MCP, Projects), OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, open-source models via Ollama or similar.
• Agent frameworks & protocols: MCP (Model Context Protocol), LangGraph, CrewAI, or equivalent — you’ve built something agentic, not just chatted with one.
• Image & video: Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Runway, Adobe Firefly, Sora, Veo, Kling — you have a point of view on which to use when.
• Voice & audio: ElevenLabs, Suno, or equivalents.
• RAG & context: Vector DBs (Pinecone, Chroma, pgvector), embedding models, retrieval evaluation.
• Creative tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma.
Technical baseline
• Python and/or TypeScript at a working level. You can read a codebase and make non-trivial changes.
• Git, GitHub, command line, basic deployment (Vercel, Replit, Modal, or similar).
• Familiarity with APIs, structured outputs (JSON schemas, tool calling), and webhooks.
• Bonus: web development (Next.js, React), CGI pipelines, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Mindset
• Curious by default. You read changelogs and papers because you want to, not because you have to.
• Honest about what AI can’t do. You push back when leadership wants to “automate the creative team.”
• Comfortable with ambiguity — this field changes monthly and you treat that as fuel, not friction.
• A taste for craft. AI output is only as good as the person directing it.
• Excellent command of English. Greek or Arabic is a plus but not required.
How we hire
Our process is designed to respect your time and surface real signal:
1. Intro meet up / call (30 min) — mutual fit, your background, your questions about us.
2. Practical exercise (~6 hours over a week) — a build challenge tied to a real INTERWEAVE problem. We send a brief; you send back a working prototype and a short Loom walkthrough.
3. Deep dive (60 min) — we walk through your exercise together, dig into your portfolio, and pair on a small live problem.
4. Team & culture (45 min) — meet the people you’ll work with. We’re looking for partners, not order-takers.
Benefits:
What we offer
• A seat at the table for one of the most interesting transformation journeys in our industry.
• Inspiring, challenging projects with global brands, cultural institutions, and public-sector clients across 6 industries.
• Competitive salary matching your skills and experience.
• Annual budget for AI tools, courses, books, and conferences - we want you on the frontier.
• Real career progression as the AI practice grows.
• One-of-a-kind gear, chosen by you.
• Outdoor activities, trips, and team experiences hosted by the company.
• A workspace filled with passionate, creative, team-oriented people who do the work.
We Drive Change
If we say “We Drive Change,” that change had to happen first within our industry, and within our team, for impactful, authentic results. Since 2013 we’ve been at the forefront of our industry’s gender revolution, having consistently harnessed the talent of our all-female leadership team since day one, employing team members from all faiths, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and ages.
“Change” isn’t just part of the work we do. It’s a way of looking out the window and dreaming a new world, in which discrimination in the workplace is definitely - and permanently - a thing of the past. If you’re thinking of joining our team, one thing is for granted: no matter who you are or where you come from, you’re already welcome.
How to apply
Send us your CV, a link to your portfolio (or 2–3 case studies of AI work you’ve shipped), and a short note, in any format you like, including a Loom, answering one question:
“What is one thing AI should NOT do for a creative agency, and why?”
Apply via our Workable page. We read every application.
