For this assignment, you will operate as a Freelance Consultant through Dataleaps, embedded within one of the largest cosmetic retail organizations in the Netherlands, helping scale their enterprise AI ecosystem.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Context & Integrations Engineer (Freelance / Contractor) to build the production-grade connective tissue between LLMs and enterprise systems.

Your mission is to transition AI from isolated pilots to reliable, secure, and governed workflows through advanced context engineering and deep enterprise integrations.

This is a backend-heavy engineering role focused on RAG pipelines, middleware, system orchestration, and secure data connectivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement production-grade RAG pipelines, including ingestion, chunking, hybrid retrieval, and multi-stage re-ranking.

• Build Python-based middleware and APIs to securely connect LLMs to enterprise databases, legacy systems, and SaaS platforms.

• Transform unstructured enterprise knowledge into high-quality, retrievable context.

• Implement identity-aware retrieval and IAM-based access controls.

• Manage orchestration logic, state handling, and fallback strategies.

• Optimize groundedness, performance, and latency through benchmarking and observability tooling.
