About the Job
Ready to push the limits of what’s possible? Join Sanofi in one of our corporate functions and you can play a vital part in the performance of our entire business while helping to make an impact on millions around the world.
At Sanofi, we're building AI capabilities at scale across research, commercial, manufacturing and corporate functions. As we grow, we need enterprise-wide visibility to ensure we're building the right capabilities, avoiding duplication and scaling what works.
We're seeking an AI Capabilities & Portfolio Specialist who will provide cross-domain visibility of AI capabilities, track performance and adoption, and enable informed portfolio decisions. This role works at the intersection of strategy, portfolio management and governance - translating capability insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
About Sanofi
We’re an R&D-driven, AI-powered biopharma company committed to improving people’s lives and delivering compelling growth. Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.
Main Responsibilities:
Enterprise Capabilities Tracking
• Maintain cross-product visibility of AI capabilities (content generation, data analysis, conversational agents, etc.) tracking performance, adoption and maturity across all domains
• Identify capability overlaps and performance variations across products in close coordination with AI Commonalities & Standards Lead
• Surface opportunities for capability convergence, reuse or retirement based on performance data
• Track capability lifecycle from proof-of-concept through production scaling across the enterprise
Portfolio Performance & Value
• Monitor value realization and adoption metrics for AI capabilities across domains
• Coordinate with Finance on capability-level ROI analysis and budget performance
• Identify high-performing capabilities ready for scaling and underperforming capabilities requiring intervention
• Prepare capability-focused insights for AI Board and ExCom reviews
Cross-Domain Coordination
• Work closely with AI Commonalities & Standards Lead on capability mapping and standards adoption
• Coordinate with domain digital teams (R&D Digital, Commercial Digital, etc.) to gather capability performance data without owning domain priorities
• Bridge enterprise capability insights to domain teams to inform their roadmaps
• Support governance reviews with capability-level risk and performance assessments
RAISE & Governance Support
• Monitor RAISE compliance and risk indicators across AI capabilities
• Flag capabilities approaching governance thresholds or requiring review
• Support AI Board preparation with structured capability insights and decision-ready materials
About You
• Bachelors degree, Masters degree preferred with 5-7 years in any of the following: portfolio management, product management, program management or strategic operations within technology, AI/ML or digital environments
• Proven ability to work across multiple functions and stakeholders, gathering insights and building coherent views from fragmented information
• Strong understanding of AI/ML product lifecycle from proof-of-concept through production scaling
• Experience tracking complex portfolios with multiple stakeholders, dependencies and value metrics
• Experience supporting executive governance forums and translating technical initiatives into business-focused narratives
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills to assess portfolio health, identify patterns and surface strategic recommendations
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with ability to collaborate across business, digital and governance teams
• Experience with portfolio management tools, frameworks and methodologies
• Ability to work with ambiguity and autonomy, making sound decisions with limited guidelines
• Strong communication skills - able to translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences
• Self-directed professional who can define success metrics and work toward them independently
• Comfortable being a "connector" rather than an owner - your value is in insights, not authority
• Curious about AI technology trends and how they apply to enterprise environments
• Pragmatic problem-solver who focuses on actionable insights over theoretical perfection
Why This Role Matters
As Sanofi scales AI across the enterprise, we risk building the same capabilities multiple times, missing opportunities to reuse what works and scaling what doesn't. This role provides the cross-cutting visibility that no single domain team can offer - enabling smarter portfolio decisions, faster scaling and responsible AI governance.
You'll work at the enterprise level, influencing how Sanofi builds and scales AI capabilities across our mission to chase the miracles of science.
