AI Augmented Engineer

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who's been through the before/after AI transition and came out the other side - fully fluent. You have years of real industry experience. You've built things that broke in production. You understand why systems are designed the way they are, and what happens when you change them carelessly. And now you use AI to do the work of three people: faster code, faster analysis, faster decisions. This isn't a research role. It isn't about prompts as a novelty. It's about shipping - with AI as your default tool and your experience as the guardrail.

 

What you'll do

• Own meaningful technical problems end-to-end: scope, build, ship, hand off
• Use AI fluently across the full stack - generation, analysis, agentic workflows, code review, documentation
• Mentor peers and teams through the AI transition - not by preaching, but by showing what's possible
• Build things that last: clear handoffs, runbooks, documented failure modes, ownership transfers
• Be honest when AI isn't the right tool.

 

What "AI-Augmented" actually means:

You don't use Copilot sometimes. You've rebuilt how you work from the ground up around AI. The old way - searching Stack Overflow, writing boilerplate manually, spending a day on something that now takes an hour - feels like a different era to you. You can explain why AI suggested something wrong. You catch hallucinations before they ship. You know which tasks to delegate to a model and which to keep in your head.

 

Why this role exists:

InPost is moving fast on AI. We have real problems - in logistics, operations, finance, engineering - that AI can materially improve. We need people who can work at the intersection of experience and AI fluency: people who understand the domain well enough to apply AI without breaking what matters, and who know enough about AI to apply it seriously. This role feeds directly into the AI Commando team and the broader AI CoE. You're not decorating a slide with AI features. You're building the infrastructure of how InPost work

 

What you're not:

• Not someone who "uses ChatGPT for email"
• Not a researcher or prompt-engineer-as-title
• Not waiting for perfect tooling - you ship with what exists
• Not someone who hands over code that only they can run

 

What we care about:

• 5+ years of technical experience in a relevant business discipline discipline (software, platform, data, infrastructure, QA - we care about depth, not the label)
• Fluency with AI tools across the stack: LLMs, agents, code assistants (Claude, GPT, Gemini, open-source - tool-agnostic fluency, not brand loyalty)
• Track record of shipping, not just building
• Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly - in writing, in code, in meetings
• Willingness to mentor - not as a side task but as a real responsibility
