THE DIFFERENCE YOU MAKE

As an AI Adoption Specialist, you will lead the strategic development and implementation of AI technologies across Wealth Management and Insurance (WMI) business lines, driving digital transformation, innovation, and competitive advantage through advanced AI solutions.

The role sits within the WMI’s Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO).  This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence and shape the strategic agenda for AI adoption and spearhead the deployment of Santander's AI products within the WMI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive AI strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Design and implement AI-powered solutions for improve customer experience, growth business and revenue and operational efficiency.
• Identify key priority WMI use cases where GenAI can be leveraged.
• Lead cross-functional teams in AI technology development and integration.
• Oversee machine learning models for predictive analytics.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical AI guidelines.
• Manage AI research, prototype development, and proof of concept initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with AI technology vendors and research institutions.

Professional Experience

• 8+ years of experience in AI/ML roles with diverse problem-solving background (Required)
• 5+ years of specific experience in financial services, wealth management, or insurance technology (Required).
• Experience with large-scale AI/ML project and team management (Required).
• Proven track record of successful AI/ML implementation in enterprise environments (Required).

Education

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or related technical field (Required).
• Certifications in AI/ML and/or cloud technologies (Preferred)

Hard Skills

• Expert-level knowledge of machine learning algorithms (Required).
• Knowledge and understanding of GenAI and Prompt Engineering (Required).
• Proficiency in Python, and AI development frameworks (Required).
• Experience with cloud AI platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) (Required).
• Deep understanding of neural networks and deep learning architectures (Required).
• Advanced understanding of financial services technology (Preferred).
• Expertise in predictive analytics and data science (Required).
• Understanding of regulatory compliance in financial AI systems (Preferred).

Soft Skills

• Strategic thinking and innovation leadership.
• Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Change management and organizational transformation expertise.
