In MezTal we are seeking a highly experienced Agile Project Manager to lead the execution and delivery of complex, enterprise-level IT initiatives within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
This role goes beyond facilitation. The Agile Project Manager will serve as a key delivery leader responsible for ensuring predictable, successful execution of programs across multiple teams, managing risks and dependencies, aligning stakeholders, and driving measurable outcomes.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs), facilitating PI Planning and ART ceremonies, and ensuring delivery predictability, transparency, and accountability in fast-paced enterprise environments.
This individual must be comfortable working with executive stakeholders, driving alignment, managing ambiguity, and ensuring delivery commitments are met.
Key Responsibilities
Agile Delivery Leadership & Program Execution
• Lead the successful execution and delivery of enterprise IT initiatives across multiple Agile teams.
• Own delivery predictability, ensuring teams meet commitments and timelines.
• Drive execution by identifying risks, dependencies, and impediments, and ensuring timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain program-level plans, timelines, and delivery milestones.
• Ensure alignment between delivery execution and business objectives.
ART Facilitation & SAFe Execution
• Facilitate PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Sync, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt sessions.
• Coordinate work across multiple teams to ensure alignment and continuous progress.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and execution risks.
• Ensure ART objectives are clearly defined, tracked, and delivered.
Stakeholder Alignment & Executive Communication
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders and leadership regarding delivery progress.
• Provide clear, structured updates on delivery status, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Facilitate alignment between business stakeholders, product management, and technical teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure transparency throughout delivery.
Risk, Dependency & Release Management
• Identify and proactively manage delivery risks and cross-team dependencies.
• Drive resolution of blockers and escalation when necessary.
• Coordinate releases and ensure successful deployment of delivered solutions.
• Maintain visibility into delivery progress using dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools.
Continuous Improvement & Agile Maturity
• Help improve Agile maturity across teams and the organization.
• Promote accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
• Support teams in adopting and strengthening SAFe practices and delivery discipline.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery roles such as:
• Agile Project Manager
• Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• Program Manager
• Delivery Manager
•
• Proven experience leading delivery in SAFe environments.
• Hands-on experience facilitating:
• PI Planning
• ART Sync / Scrum of Scrums
• Inspect & Adapt
• Program Increment execution
•
• Demonstrated experience managing:
• Cross-team dependencies
• Program-level risks
• Delivery timelines and execution
•
• Strong experience working with enterprise stakeholders and leadership.
• Strong experience with Agile tools such as:
• Azure DevOps (preferred)
• Jira
• Confluence
• Agile dashboards and reporting tools
•
• SAFe certification required (SPC, RTE, or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
• SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) certification strongly preferred
• Experience leading large Agile Release Trains (50+ people preferred)
• Experience working in enterprise or highly regulated environments
• Experience managing global or distributed teams
