About the Role
We are looking for an Agentic Engineer to join our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) team in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The CAB team is dedicated to building tailored, custom solutions for our most valuable clients in the LATAM region. In this role, you will lead Wati’s regional custom engineering efforts, working closely with clients, product managers, and regional teams to translate complex, customized business requirements into scalable engineering solutions. You will combine strong engineering execution with a deep understanding of the local market, building API integrations, automating workflows, and shipping bespoke features that directly solve our clients' unique challenges in Brazil and across Latin America. This role requires someone who is highly adaptable, execution-oriented, and comfortable operating at the intersection of core engineering and client-facing customized delivery.
What You Will Do
• Lead engineering initiatives to design, build, and deploy custom features and workflows tailored to the specific needs of Wati's key clients in the LATAM market
• Partner directly with the CAB team and regional stakeholders to deeply understand bespoke client requirements and translate them into robust technical architectures
• Develop seamless integrations between Wati's platform and local LATAM third-party systems, CRMs, ERPs, and payment gateways commonly used by our Brazilian and regional clients
• Ensure the high reliability, security, and scalability of custom-built solutions, maintaining Wati's standard of excellence even in highly specialized enterprise environments
• Iterate rapidly on custom deployments, troubleshooting client-specific technical issues and providing engineering support for critical LATAM accounts
• Continuously improve internal tooling and frameworks to accelerate the delivery speed of custom client solutions
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or custom solutions development
• Proven experience building scalable API integrations and working with complex system architectures to meet specific enterprise client needs
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English and Spanish
• Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage multiple custom projects simultaneously and adapt to changing client requirements
• Strong product and business intuition, with the ability to connect engineering work to real client business impact
• AI-native mindset, actively using AI tools or AI agents in development workflows
