The key objective of the role is to deliver differing Aftersales Programmes to various clients programme such as Aftersales Coaching, Accessories, Parts, Retention. Leading consultants launching and developing new programmes to met the clients strategy.
The Programme Manager role is responsible for leading end to end delivery of automotive programmes from concept to deliver and lifecycle management. Working across cross-functional teams and commercial partners, the Programme Manager acts as the primary customer interface and internal driver of programme success in line with the Contractual / Statement of Work requirements. This encompasses proactively project managing new programme launches, internal continuous improvement and customer opportunity identification.
The Programme Manager is responsible for leading and developing their teams to achieve the programme targets and objectives for both MSXI and the client.
Duties and responsibilities
• Lead multiple automotive programmes from concept through industrialisation, SOP, and post‑launch phases
• Own programme timing, deliverables, milestones, and governance using various tools and solutions
• Act as primary customer interface for programme performance, status updates, design decisions, and issue escalation
• Ensure alignment with customer requirements, specifications, and contractual obligations
• Gain insight into all stakeholder requirements to inform programme development planning
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration with internal client departments, Quality, Purchasing, Finance, and external suppliers
• Present programme updates to senior leadership, steering committees, and customers
• Using the defined strategy as a base, develop and launch programme initiatives into market
• Work across the client and MSX organisations to create best in class delivery
• Drive innovation and pace across all activity development
• Programme team steering: personnel, recruitment, management, and motivation, including setting objectives and reviewing performance
• Provide coaching and best practice sharing across the team
• Develop strong & succinct business plans and deliver back to the client
• Review programme results to identify best practice and areas for development
• Review Programme performance and hold monthly program review meetings
• Create and implement improvement plans where performance is below target
• Identify and manage a key suite of KPIs to drive sales
• Implementation and execution of brands strategy
• Convert OEM sales opportunities by defining and delegating adequate measures

Knowledge and experience
• Dynamic Manager from a manufacturer, Dealer Senior Manager, Aftersales or Aftermarket background
• Demonstratable success of managing field sales teams & high-profile stakeholders
• Proven experience in programme or project management within an automotive OEM or Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier.
• Deep understanding of automotive programme development and launch processes
• Demonstrated customer-facing communication and negotiation experience
• Proven record in sales and target achievement
• A full understanding of various Aftersales activities within the Automotive sectorel
• Knowledge and experience of OEM landscape
Competencies and skills
• Ability to broker deals at senior stakeholder level
• Highly organised and efficient work methodology, able to work under pressure in competitive environment.
• An analytical approach to strategy and activity development through the use of market and performance data
• Excellent presentation skills, able to communicate content and ideas simply and succinctly.
• Strong people skills and effective communicator
• Proficient in MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
• Strong business acumen and customer focus Excellent presentation and people skills
• The ability to inspire, coach and influence others to achieve exceptional results
Working pattern and location:
• Full time (Monday – Friday)
• Based anywhere in the UK (with travel on a weekly basis to MSX offices and client offices)
