Lucy School is seeking an engaging, hands-on instructor to lead an after-school enrichment program focused on practical life skills, nature-based learning, and project-driven exploration. This program emphasizes curiosity, collaboration, and experiential learning through activities such as gardening, simple engineering challenges, animal care concepts, food systems, environmental stewardship, and age-appropriate leadership skills.
Program Details
One-hour sessions (3:30–4:30 PM)
Program begins in March
May run on multiple weekdays based on enrollment
Separate sections may be offered for different age groups
Responsibilities
Design and lead interactive, developmentally appropriate lessons
Facilitate hands-on projects and discussions
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Adapt activities for different age groups as needed
Communicate clearly with school staff regarding materials and planning
Qualifications
Experience working with children in educational, outdoor, agricultural, or enrichment settings
Comfort leading groups independently
Strong organizational and communication skills
Enthusiasm for experiential, project-based learning
Background in agriculture, environmental education, STEM, life skills, or youth development preferred
