Inside Sales Representative
FLSA Status: ExemptDepartment: Inside Sales
Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 (Based on Experience)
Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities and supporting existing customer relationships within assigned territories. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, managing inquiries, processing orders, and ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Engagement
• Manage inbound and outbound customer communications to identify needs, provide solutions, and generate sales opportunities
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring alignment with customer specifications, drawings, and delivery requirements
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers, delivering a high level of responsiveness and professionalism
• Maintain and update customer data, quotes, and activity within CRM systems
• Partner with outside sales to support account growth and long-term customer relationships
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met
• Communicate lead times, order status, and potential risks proactively to customers and internal stakeholders
• Support resolution of customer concerns, discrepancies, or quality-related questions in a timely manner
Continuous Improvement & Development
• Participate in ongoing training to build product knowledge, particularly in cable assemblies and technical applications
• Apply sales strategies, time management, and territory management practices to improve performance
• Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and customer experience
Administrative & Reporting
• Prepare and maintain accurate sales documentation, order records, and reports
• Support internal reporting needs and assist with special projects as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience
• 1 - 3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace/defense, or technical sales environments preferred
Knowledge & Skills
• Basic understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management
• Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to interpret customer requirements, including drawings or specifications, is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships with customers and internal teams
• Adaptable and eager to learn new products, systems, and industry requirements
