Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Pulmonary and Critical Care team in the outpatient clinic setting. The NP will provide comprehensive care for patients with pulmonary and sleep-related conditions, working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations.
Diagnose, manage, and treat acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and pulmonary function studies.
Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with established guidelines.
Provide patient and family education on disease management, prevention, and treatment.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other clinicians in a team-based approach.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the EMR.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
Current Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
Board certification as an Adult, Family, or Acute Care NP (Pulmonary/Critical Care experience preferred).
Current DEA license and prescriptive authority.
Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Schedule & Expectations:
Primarily outpatient clinic-based role.
May require flexibility with shifts, extended hours, or occasional call-backs as patient needs dictate.
