Primary Function of Position
The engineer in this position will play a role in the evaluation, maintenance, repair, design, analysis and improvement of various types of equipment across the company, including electronic and mechanical equipment as an example. This engineer may have to work in different areas, such as electrical, mechanical, laser and/or computer engineering.
Essential Job Duties
• Apply engineering concepts to the optimization of equipment and procedures to achieve better maintainability, reliability, and availability of equipment.
• Work in a close collaboration with multiple departments and inter sites across all the company.
• Determine and analyze trends for equipment performance and define / implement improvement.
• Design, re-design and integrate of new equipment/component and make sure equipment achieves the improvement.
• Seeking better and more suitable technologies for improving production processes.
• Perform installation, repair, and upkeep services for a variety of equipment either in the fields of mechanics and electronics.
• Perform IQOQPQ related to their design, redesign or integration of new equipment being installed in the facilities.
• Supporting the teaching and training of other team members to develop the needed skills and knowledge in specialized equipment including but not limited to diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, calibrating, or any other related.
• Be the support when an emergency/unscheduled problem and repair related to their equipment implementation / improvement to ensure there is continuous cover of the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns.
• Define spare parts for the complex equipment and fulfill that definition, as required.
Required Skills and Experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant electrical/mechanical assembly, test, troubleshooting, repair and with medical experience preferred.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• English 80% read, written, and spoken.
• Machining experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated mechanical electronics aptitude.
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting complex electronic/mechanical/laser/vision system equipment.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation are a must.
• Knowledge and experience in the use of special mechanical, electronics, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to integrate mechatronics components such as sensors, motors, pneumatics, and motion and vision control components.
• CAD and SolidWorks proficient.
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs.
Required Education and Training
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electronics engineering, mechatronic engineering or similar preferred.
• Travel: Position may require 15% travel, primarily within the United States.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Knowledge in internal equipment like IPTs, laser welders, laser markers, and 3D print is a plus to the position.
