Job Overview
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Adult Acute Speech and Language Therapist to join a dynamic team in Romford. This is an exciting opportunity to support patients in an acute hospital setting, working primarily with stroke or neurosciences caseloads.
Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time work, this flexible role is ideal for a Band 6 or 7 therapist with a strong background in acute adult care and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centred therapy.
Key Responsibilities
•
Provide assessment, diagnosis, and intervention for adults with communication and swallowing disorders, with a focus on stroke and neurological conditions.

Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
•
Contribute to early supported discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation.
•
Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional standards.
•
Engage in clinical supervision, audits, and service development initiatives where required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:

A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
•
Current HCPC registration.
•
Proven experience working with adults in an acute hospital setting.
•
Specific experience with stroke or neurosciences patients.
•
Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and team collaboration skills.
