Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharge coordination within a collaborative healthcare operations setting focused on patient access, workflow continuity, and organized administrative support. Working alongside clinical teams, patient administration staff, and hospital operations teams, this role helps maintain accurate patient flow, documentation integrity, and organized administrative support across a fast-paced care environment.
This role plays an important part in supporting coordinated patient movement, documentation accuracy, and day-to-day healthcare operations.
This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a professionally managed clinical environment where operational consistency, communication, and workflow accuracy support timely patient care and coordinated hospital operations.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 0700–1700 with flexible scheduling support
Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, discharges, and bed assignment workflows
• Maintain and update patient records while supporting accurate healthcare documentation processes
• Verify patient eligibility and administrative information using DEERS and related systems
• Communicate with clinical departments regarding patient status and disposition activity
• Support patient tracking, operational reporting, and coordination across care teams
• Help maintain organized healthcare operations workflows within a structured clinical setting
Required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6–12 months of medical administrative or healthcare support experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation processes
• Experience using DEERS or comparable eligibility verification systems
• Typing proficiency with the ability to maintain accurate electronic documentation workflows
Preferred
• Experience within a hospital or complex healthcare operations environment
• Familiarity with MHS GENESIS or related electronic health record systems
• Prior experience supporting patient admissions, disposition, or healthcare operations workflows
