Admissions Operations Specialist
The Admissions Operations Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the admissions process through accurate data management, document processing, and applicant services. This position ensures the smooth operation of admissions systems and provides high-quality customer service to prospective students, families, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently while supporting a collaborative admissions team.
Responsibilities
Perform a wide range of admissions systems and operations tasks, including data entry, document processing and scanning, records updates, quality assurance, and digital file management
Process all incoming applications and associated materials, including transcripts, test scores, and supporting documents
Adhere to established policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient service
Provide responsive and professional customer service to applicants, prospective students, families, callers, email inquiries, visitors, and colleagues
Manage event registrations and related communications for admissions events
Serve as back-up coverage for the Admissions Office front desk, including answering phones and assisting prospective students and families
Perform other duties as assigned in support of admissions operations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
Preferred Skills
Experience working in an admissions, enrollment, or higher education environment
Familiarity with student information systems or admissions software
Strong organizational and customer service skills.
