Job Summary:
This position is classified as an Independent Contractor. Admissions Coordinator is not an employee of the institution and will operate independently while meeting agreed-upon performance standards and educational policies aligned with PTIRU. The contractor is responsible for their own taxes, benefits, equipment, and work arrangements, and will not be entitled to employee benefits. The role collaborates closely with the Admissions and Academic teams but does not hold decision-making authority within the organization.

Position Summary
Cornerstone Community International College is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Admission Coordinator – Domestic Students to manage the admissions process for prospective students enrolling in our educational programs. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the Student Aid BC system and the Canadian student loan process, and is committed to providing excellent service and guidance throughout the enrollment journey.

Key Responsibilities
Admissions & Enrollment
Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic student inquiries (phone, email, in-person).
Guide prospective students through the application and enrollment process.
Review applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
Coordinate admissions interviews, assessments, and follow-ups.
Maintain accurate records in the Student Information System (SIS).
Financial Aid & Student Loan Support
Advise students on tuition funding options, including provincial and federal loan programs.
Provide guidance on the StudentAid BC application process, eligibility criteria, required documentation, and timelines.
Assist students with understanding loan disbursement schedules and maintaining enrollment eligibility.
Liaise with financial aid offices and relevant government agencies as needed.
Support students in resolving funding or documentation issues.
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure admissions practices comply with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial and federal student aid policies.
Prepare reports related to admissions and funding as required.
Student Support & Relationship Management
Build strong relationships with prospective and newly admitted students.
Conduct information sessions and orientation presentations.
Provide ongoing support from initial inquiry through program start.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Education, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, or student services.
Demonstrated knowledge of StudentAid BC and Canadian student loan processes.
Strong understanding of domestic student funding structures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student database systems.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and intercultural communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with English language learners.
