About the role | Mō te tūranga:
Our Christchurch laboratory is seeking a fixed-term, part-time Administrator to join our Specimen Reception team. Reporting to the Section Leader, you will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement while helping deliver high-quality service to both internal teams and external clients.
This role is the first point of contact for incoming samples, requiring strong attention to detail and excellent customer service. You’ll work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations, from handling specimens to supporting client needs, while always maintaining a professional and friendly presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, register, and process incoming laboratory samples accurately.
Act as the first point of contact for clients and visitors.
Prepare and dispatch consumables to clients across the region.
Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams and customers.
Support a culture of quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
Ensure all tasks are completed in line with laboratory protocols and standards.
