Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Clerk to join our medical office. This role is responsible for supporting daily administrative tasks, ensuring efficient office operations, and assisting the staff with clerical duties. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data entry of patient demographics and other associated information
Assist the Care Coordination and Scheduling teams through follow up requests pertaining to patient intake, records, and physician documents.
Manage correspondence via phone, email, and fax.
Professional communication with follow-up requests from physician offices.
Maintain accurate patient records and digital filing of documents.
Process and organize medical and administrative documentation.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth daily operations and patient flow.
Ensure compliance with medical office policies, HIPAA regulations, and any other compliance and confidentiality standards.
Back up to operators
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree or relevant certification preferred.
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology, portals, and electronic health records, preferred.
Proficiency in other computer programs and various software which include but are not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Dashboards), Adobe, Google Suite, web based applications, and electronic programs such as E-faxes and portals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Customer service-oriented with a professional and compassionate demeanor.
Work Environment:
Office-based setting in a medical practice.
Requires prolonged periods of sitting, occasional standing.
