Job Description

At the Tom James Company, an Assistant supports our sales team members, store leaders, and key organizational leaders in fulfilling our mission to be a global leader in the fashion industry. An Assistant is a valued member of the Tom James sales support team.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive Assistant to support a high-performing sales professional at the Tom James Company in our San Antonio, TX office.

This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week and offers a pay rate of $18.75 per hour. We provide a generous paid time off (PTO) package, paid holidays, and a 401(k) plan.

Position Details:

• Full-time: 30 hours per week

• $18.75/hour + PTO, paid holidays, 401(k)

• Primarily in-office, with occasional client-facing support

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare for daily client visits

• Prepare and organize clothing for delivery

• Retrieve and review necessary client information (e.g., A/R balances, sales sheets)

• Update sales materials, including fabric and product options

• Coordinate and maintain all client orders and files

• Client communication

Operations & Organization

• Organize and manage inventory

• Identify and implement process and communication efficiencies

• Handle client item pickups and deliveries as needed

Business Development & Marketing

• Prospect new clients through online research and social media platforms

• Execute digital marketing efforts (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Twitter)

• Enter referrals into proprietary systems

• Send introductory and promotional communications

• Create and manage call lists and targeted outreach (“hot lists”)

Customer Service & Professionalism

• Deliver exceptional service when interacting with clients, factories, corporate offices, and vendors

• Maintain a professional image appropriate for corporate client engagement

Ideal Background:

• Administrative, sales support, or operations experience

• Experience in a client-facing or service-oriented role

• Strong interest in business, organization, or growth

Requirements:

• Consistent onsite attendance required

• Able to bend and lift 20 lbs.

• Valid driver's license required
