Administrative Assistant

Sunrise Chick Sales is a division of Sunrise Farms, one of the largest chicken processors in Canada, with facilities in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Our team of employees are experienced, dedicated, and exceptional at delivering quality products from farm to table.

Role:

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Hatchery Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate is proficient with computer applications, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrives in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, initiative, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Responsibilities:
• Perform reception duties, including answering phone calls and greeting visitors
• Complete daily payroll editing
• Process daily invoicing
• Maintain and update weekly planners and placement information
• Prepare detailed weekly reports and update complex spreadsheets
• Manage order confirmations
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Monitor and maintain inventory control
• Conduct month‑end counts and reconciliations
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements:
• 2–3 years of administrative experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Payroll experience considered an asset
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Demonstrated initiative and problem‑solving abilities
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Adaptability and willingness to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and organization
