Front Desk Receptionist- MH Clinic
The Front Desk Receptionist at Agape Health and Wellness Clinic plays a vital role in maintaining an organized and professional environment for clients, visitors, and staff. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who excels in multitasking, compassionate communication, and administrative efficiency while supporting the mission of providing ethical services.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients, family members, and visitors; maintain a welcoming, trauma-informed environment
Check patients in/out; verify appointments and update schedules
Answer multi-line phone system; triage calls and route to clinicians or on-call staff
Perform patient registration and intake: collect demographics, insurance, consent forms
Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; collect co-pays and post payments
Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling system
Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and authorizations tracking
Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; handle sensitive behavioral health information
Maintain waiting area, informational materials, and clinic supplies
Manage patient communications: appointment reminders, recall, follow-up calls/texts
Handle patient crises appropriately and escalate to clinical staff as needed
Basic Vitals when needed- Training provided
Collect co-pays and post payments
Coordinate with clinicians, access team, and billing/clinical teams when needed
Qualifications & Skills:
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail (an essential trait for Transformation House).
Experience in a recovery or behavioral health setting preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, balancing professionalism and warmth.
Proficiency in Google Suite, EHR systems, and general office technology.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ethical considerations in recovery care.
Ability to multitask and remain calm in fast-paced client-facing environments.
Ability to work remote while also being in compliance with HIPAA specifications.
