About Us
At South Downs Care, weâre dedicated to providing personalised, high-quality care in a safe, friendly environment where our residents can thrive. We operate two care homes, Downs House and Stroud House, nestled in the beautiful Hampshire countryside.
Stroud House provides specialist support for residents living with advanced dementia and mental health needs. Our team is committed to creating a calm, engaging, and compassionate environment, even when faced with the challenges these conditions can bring.
Being family-owned means our values arenât just words; they guide everything we do and are reflected in how we support both our teams and the people we care for. At SDR, we live by Kindness, Dignity & Respect, Calmness, Creativity, and Responsibility every single day.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an Activities Coordinator to join our team at Stroud House.
This role is about more than running activities, itâs about helping residents living with advanced dementia and mental health conditions maintain dignity, independence, and joy. Youâll design and deliver meaningful activities that bring comfort, stimulation, and connection, even when communication is difficult or behaviours are challenging.
You will also be responsible for taking residents on outings using our company vehicle, so a full UK driving licence and confidence driving residents safely is essential.
Itâs a role that requires creativity, patience, and resilience, but the rewards are extraordinary: seeing a residentâs face light up, encouraging a sense of calm, or helping someone reconnect with a treasured memory.
What We OfferÂ
â  Career Growth â Ongoing professional training & development, including dementia and mental health awareness
â  Holidays â At least equivalent to 29 days (including bank holidays, pro-rata)
â  Pension Scheme â Available where eligible
