Our strategically growing law firm is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to make an immediate impact in a high performing Finance & Accounting team at a leading law firm. You’ll own day to day vendor payments and help advance our A/P automation and workflow initiatives—partnering closely with Accounting leadership to keep operations precise, timely, and compliant. You’ll be part of a department actively modernizing payment processes and documentation, with leadership support for automation and workflow improvements. You’ll work alongside attorneys and business professionals in a law firm setting known for rigorous standards and client service.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Process vendor payments end to end—checks, ACH, and wires—with proper approvals and audit trails.

• Match invoices to payments and prepare mailing for physical checks; support electronic payment notifications to vendors.

• Collaborate with Accounting Manager and Director of Finance to review ACH/wire files and release payments accurately and on schedule.

• Support month end and ongoing initiatives across A/P, reimbursement processing, and process documentation.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 2 - 4+ years of accounts payable experience (professional services or legal preferred).

• Strong grasp of ACH/wire controls, vendor communications, and invoice matching best practices.

• Comfort working in accounting programs and following auditable workflows.

• A continuous improvement mindset—curious about automation, standard work, and reducing process times.
