Vulcan Energie Ressourcen GmbH is an innovative, fast-growing company in the field of sustainable lithium extraction and renewable energies. With our lithium plant, we are making a decisive contribution to the decarbonization of European industry and to securing a sustainable supply of lithium in Europe. We are looking for you to join our growing team in Karlsruhe as a full-time (40 hours per week) as - Accounts Payable Specialist (m/f/d).
Your mission:
• You manage the full invoice process end-to-end, including receiving, verifying, booking vendor invoices, matching them with purchase orders, and ensuring authorized approvals and timely payments in line with internal policies.
• You generate and analyse AP aging reports and actively contribute to the month-end closing process by providing transparent and reliable insights.
• You drive the reconciliation of vendor statements and bank statements, proactively identifying discrepancies and ensuring accurate resolution.
• You support and take ownership of the intercompany invoicing process, ensuring AP/AR balances are aligned and reconciled on a monthly basis.
• You take responsibility for the Fixed Assets and Leasing area under IFRS and HGB, ensuring compliant accounting and documentation.
• You identify, analyse, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation within the accounting processes.
Your profile:
• You bring solid hands-on experience with HGB and IFRS and apply a strong understanding of accounting principles in your daily work.
• You work confidently with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA, and leverage system knowledge to ensure efficient and accurate accounting processes.
• You use Excel at an advanced level for analysis and reporting; experience with Power BI and/or Tableau is considered a plus.
• You communicate clearly and effectively while working independently and collaborating with colleagues in a multinational environment.
• You approach tasks with an analytical and conceptual mindset, enabling you to structure complex topics and derive meaningful insights.
• You demonstrate reliability and flexibility while handling responsibilities independently and adjusting to changing priorities.
• You show awareness, resilience, and a balanced approach in day-to-day interactions, contributing positively to a stable and respectful working environment.
