About You

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist on a contract basis to support our international accounts payable operations within a high-growth business unit focused on hardware procurement, distribution, and sales. Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, this role will contribute to high-volume invoice processing, multi-currency transactions, and inventory-linked payables in a fast-paced global environment. As a contractor, you will assist with day-to-day AP tasks, process improvements, and cross-functional collaborations to ensure efficient and compliant operations.

What you’ll do and how you’ll have an impact

• Process high-volume international invoices for hardware vendors, including receipt, multi-currency validation, coding, approvals, payment execution, and reconciliations.

• Handle inventory-related invoicing workflows, such as vendor statement reconciliations, and resolution of global discrepancies.

• Execute cross-border payments in multiple currencies while adhering to international payment methods and regulatory requirements.

• Serve as a point of contact for routine vendor inquiries and escalate complex issues to the AP Manager or relevant stakeholders.

• Support monthly/quarterly/yearly AP close processes, including reconciliations, aged payables analysis, and data preparation for financial reporting.

• Collaborate with Procurement, Inventory, Order Management, Receiving, Tax, and Finance teams to resolve mismatches and optimize order-to-pay cycles.

• Participate in AP automation initiatives, process standardization, and workflow enhancements to improve efficiency in a high-transaction environment.

• Contribute to financial closes, internal/external audits, system implementations/upgrades, and cross-functional projects as needed.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all AP activities in compliance with company policies and international standards.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 2+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience, preferably in international or multi-currency environments.

• Experience with high-volume invoice processing (e.g., 1,000+ invoices/month), ideally in hardware, technology distribution, manufacturing, or global supply chain industries.

• Knowledge of inventory-related payables

• Experience implementing or using AP automation and mass payment systems in high-volume settings.

• Proficiency with ERP systems for multi-entity/multi-currency operations (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and/or AP automation tools (e.g., Coupa, AvidXchange, Tipalti, HighRadius) a plus.

• Background in hardware or inventory sectors, including working with international vendors and supplier relationships.

• Familiarity with order management systems (OMS) and their integration into AP/ERP workflows (e.g., PO synchronization, fulfillment-to-invoice matching).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or similar tools for multi-currency analysis, reconciliations, and reporting.

• Ability to work independently as a contractor in an international team environment.
