Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist

Position Summary
This role is responsible for managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions while supporting broader accounting and administrative activities. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage accounts payable and receivable ledgers with accuracy and compliance.
Process invoices, payments, and credit memos in a timely and accurate manner.
Research and resolve discrepancies related to payables and receivables.
Send customer statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
Collaborate with accounting and operations teams to ensure integrity of financial records.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
Maintain vendor and customer records, ensuring accurate documentation.
Support onboarding of new customers and vendors.
Assist with financial reviews, audits, and compliance documentation requests.
Provide cross-functional administrative support as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online or ERP systems).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Preferred / Bonus Qualifications
Multi-state sales tax filing and reporting experience.
Knowledge and practical application of GAAP principles.
Treasury management experience.
Experience working with ERP systems.
