Job Title: Accounts Payable Director

Rate: $5/h-$7/h

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Director to lead and oversee the full accounts payable function for our organization. This role will be responsible for managing the AP team, ensuring accurate and timely payment processing, maintaining vendor relationships, and improving financial workflows. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of AP processes, and hands-on experience using Yardi.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Manage and mentor the Accounts Payable team, providing leadership and training.
• Ensure all invoices are processed, approved, and paid in compliance with company policies.
• Monitor AP aging reports and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Maintain and optimize Yardi workflows for invoice processing, approvals, and reporting.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Implement and improve AP policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Review and approve large or complex payments and vendor contracts.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
• Prepare financial reports related to AP operations, cash flow, and vendor payments.
• Work closely with leadership to improve efficiency and cost management.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable leadership or management roles.

• Strong experience using Yardi (required).
• Background in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Proven experience managing high-volume AP operations.
• Strong understanding of AP processes, vendor management, and financial controls.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working with financial reporting and accounting systems.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
