Crowe MacKay LLP is excited to grow our team and is currently seeking an Accounting Technician to join our Edmonton South office. The successful candidate will report to the Partnership group and will be a career-focused individual that is excited to join a growth-oriented, entrepreneurial firm.
The Role
Calculate and prepare corporate year-end files (Compilations), corporate and personal tax returns, and other services including T4, T5, and GST for clients.
Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements.
Other accounting, data entry, and client service functions as needed.
What You Will Bring
3+ years of experience in an Accounting Technician role, including preparation of Compilation financial statements and T2 tax returns
Recent public accounting experience
Familiarity with Caseware, Microsoft Office, and Tax Prep would be an asset
Able to interact with our clients
Able to prioritize workloads, meet deadlines, and work under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Values teamwork, client/customer service, professionalism, community involvement, and personal and professional growth
