CYNWAVE Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist II to execute a range of intermediate accounting duties, including financial record maintenance, comprehensive analysis, and preparation of financial reports. The specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial records, adhering to federal regulations, and supporting the company’s routine financial operations. Proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of federal compliance is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Enter, review, and reconcile financial transactions using PROCAS and other accounting systems. Ensure all entries are properly documented and comply with contract requirements.
Prepare and generate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, for internal use and external audits. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
Assist in preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Provide data and insights to management for decision-making purposes.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account analysis, and financial statement preparation.
Utilize various accounting software programs, including but not limited to Procas and Wave, to manage financial data and generate reports.
Ensure all accounting activities comply with GAAP, FAR, DCAA regulations, and internal policies. Support audits by preparing documentation and providing necessary data.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within government contracting.
Proficient in PROCAS accounting software.
Experience with other accounting software is highly desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
