Accounting Reconciliation Analyst (6‑month Project)

To help accelerate our growth and pace of delivery, we are looking for a talented Accounting Reconciliation Analyst to support our finance team by performing accurate reconciliations across AR, AP, and multi-currency transactions in QuickBooks. Ensure financial data integrity through detailed analysis and resolution of discrepancies between platform records, invoices, bills, and the general ledger.

Key responsibilities:
• Review and reconcile large volumes of transactions between our in-house billing platform, client invoices, vendor bills, and the accounting system (QuickBooks).
• Identify discrepancies in amounts, FX rates, currencies, and timing, investigate root causes, and propose appropriate adjustments.
• Prepare and post correcting entries in line with accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) best practices, with clear audit trails.
• Work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to validate findings, align on adjustments, and obtain approvals.
• Document reconciliation methodologies, edge cases, and decision rules for future reference and audits.
• Contribute to recommendations for improving our multi‑currency setup, reconciliation processes, and internal controls.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or similar roles with strong exposure to AR/AP and reconciliation work.
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger fundamentals.
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks or similar cloud accounting software.
• Comfortable working with multi‑currency environments and FX concepts (rates, conversions, gains/losses).
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, filters) and ability to work efficiently with large data sets.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and the ability to work independently on repetitive but non‑routine reconciliation tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English to collaborate with a distributed finance team
