The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the accurate and timely performance of various assigned functions in support of the month-end close and statutory reporting process. Specifically, the Accounting Manager will oversee various close related functions, ensuring proper accounting treatment of transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsibilities will include recording monthly journal entries, preparing and / or reviewing balance sheet accounting reconciliations, and supporting the quarterly reporting and audit cycles by preparing reporting schedules and assisting with external audit requests.
In addition to supporting the monthly close process the Accounting Manager will also be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements and supporting schedules in connection with our various statutory audits.
Prepare and record journal entries and perform various assigned functions in support of the managed hotel month-end and quarterly close and reporting processes.
Prepare statutory financial statements and supporting schedules in connection with statutory audits.
Support the quarterly reporting and audit cycle by preparing reporting schedules and assisting with assigned audit requests.
Assist with financial projects and initiatives throughout the year including intangible asset valuations, technical accounting research and internal controls testing.
Assist in the research and documentation of technical accounting issues.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting data and processes and work cross functionally to design and implement changes.
• Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
• Knowledge of practices and concepts associated with GAAP
• Strong PC skills, including Excel, Oracle and Hyperion (HFM)
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to interact with all levels of the organization and external contacts
• Detail oriented, self-motivated and able to work on cross functional teams
• Innovative team player that challenges current processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• 4-7 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA and Big 4 Experience required
$100K to $120K plus Bonus
