Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to support our growing team. This role will be responsible for managing core accounting functions and ensuring accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in daily operations, month-end close, and financial compliance. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a small team environment and enjoys a mix of independent work and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and bank reconciliations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities.
Assist in preparing for audits and coordinating with external auditors as needed.
Recommend and help implement process improvements to streamline operations.
Provide financial analysis and reporting to the VP of Finance and leadership team.
Handle ad hoc projects and financial tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficient with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Comfortable working in a small team and independently.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with [specific systems your company uses, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite].
Prior experience in a small or mid-sized company environment.
