Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This role is operational in nature and responsible for maintaining disciplined financial processes that support business execution.
This position reports directly to executive leadership and plays a key role in maintaining clean books, reliable reporting, and strong cash visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
Own full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, payroll coordination, and general ledger management
Perform and oversee monthly close process, including accruals and journal entries
Complete bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Maintain accurate job costing and expense coding
Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly internal financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
Provide supporting schedules and variance explanations
Maintain clean documentation and audit-ready files
Cash & Compliance
Monitor AR aging and support collection efforts
Manage vendor payments and cash flow timing
Coordinate sales tax filings and other regulatory requirements
Liaise with external CPA firm for tax and year-end review
Process & Discipline
Ensure daily transactional accuracy and timely updates
Respond to leadership requests with flexibility and urgency when needed
Maintain strong internal controls and organized records
Qualifications
5–12 years of accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP fundamentals
Experience with QuickBooks Online (preferred)
Experience in construction or service-based businesses preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage month-end close independently
Strong attention to detail and ability to reprioritize tasks as business needs evolve
CPA not required.

Compensation
Base Salary: $70,000 – $85,000
Performance Bonus: Up to 5% based on close timeliness, reporting accuracy, and operational execution
Benefits: up to 4 weeks PTO your first year, 401k after 1 year, Health benefits after 90 days
