About the Role
We’re hiring an Accounting Manager to own financial accuracy, reporting, and month-end close across multiple entities.
This is a hands-on, execution-driven role — not a supervisory-only position.
You will:
• Run clean, accurate month-end closes
• Manage payroll and compliance
• Maintain structured, audit-ready financials

What You’ll Own
1. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting (Core Focus)
• Execute month-end close with accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare financial reports aligned with client requirements
• Ensure compliance with:
• GAAP
• Maintain clean, structured workpapers
2. Payroll & Employee Setup
• Process payroll using:
• Gusto or similar
• Manage employee onboarding in payroll systems
• Ensure payroll compliance and documentation
3. Core Accounting Operations
• Oversee:
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Maintain accurate general ledger across entities
• Manage day-to-day accounting with precision
4. Sales Tax & Compliance
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax
• Maintain documentation for all filings
• Ensure compliance across jurisdictions
5. Reporting, Analysis & Forecasting
• Build custom financial reports
• Support:
• Budgeting
• Forecasting
• Provide insights for decision-making
6. Process Improvement & Systems
• Review and document accounting processes
• Identify inefficiencies and improve workflows
• Standardize systems across multiple clients/entities
7. Client & Internal Coordination
• Communicate with leadership on:
• Priorities
• Deadlines
• Support client-facing communication when needed
• Align reporting expectations and timelines

• Strong experience with:

• GAAP financials
• Experience managing:

• Proficiency in:
• QuickBooks Online (or Desktop/Enterprise)
• Advanced Excel:
• XLOOKUP
• INDEX/MATCH
• Pivot Tables
• Payroll experience (e.g., Gusto)
• Experience with U.S. sales tax filings
• Strong written and verbal English

• Exposure to outsourced accounting firms
