Position:

We are looking to recruit Interns for Accounting Team of the Tax Practice Group to be based out of the firm’s office in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This is a 3-month internship program offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience in Accounting practice. Upon successful completion of the program and contingent on satisfactory performance, interns may be considered for a Junior Accountant position within the Accounting Team of our Tax Practice Group.

Reports to: Senior Consultant/ Senior Accounting Manager

Key external relationships: Local authorities

Key internal relationships: Partner, Manager, Senior Managers, and other staff

Position type: Full Time, 3 months period

Applicants eligible: Local residents

Working Hour: Mon-Fri, 8am –12pm and 2pm – 6pm

Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

Main duties of the role

• Provide support and assistance to Senior Accounting Consultant/Manager
• Provide administrative support relevant to client matters.
• Assist in processing invoices, preparing trust deposits, filing, scanning, and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions.
• Assist Senior in inputting financial transactions into accounting software or spreadsheets (e.g., invoices, receipts, journal entries).
• Assisting in the preparation of simple reports or summaries, under supervision.
• Participate in professional development and Firm administrative activities as requested; and
• Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned to you from time to time

Requirements:
Essential skills & proficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subjects, e.g. accounting, finance, economics, laws (having an accounting or finance background or qualifications in these fields is a plus point). Fresh graduates are welcome.
• Microsoft Office 2007 or 2010 – Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Good analytical skills, logical thinking and enjoy working with numbers as well as writing.
• Careful and detail oriented.
• Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Good command of English and Khmer.
