The Accounting Head Supervises, monitors, and evaluates the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department to ensure the accurate, efficient, and prompt submission of accounting-related reports and compliance with regulatory bodies. This role ensures management of accounting processes while leading a team of finance professionals.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
• Analysis of financial performance including calculation of Corporate Income Taxes
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies
• Develop and maintain accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local and national financial regulations and tax requirements
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Manage rental income and expenses, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards
• Record Sales & Purchases – Keeps track of all goods bought and sold.
• Inventory Management – Monitors stock levels, ensures accurate valuation, and calculates shrinkage if any.
• Collaborate with other departments to support financial decision-making and strategic planning.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to accounting systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
• Graduate with BS in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working experience in handling general accounting and financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively.
• Experienced as an Accounting Manager in the Chemical Trading and Rental Industry is a plus.
• knowledge of import/export operations, customs procedures and international trade finance.
• Monitor import and export costs such as freight, customs duties, and insurance to determine true landed cost.
• Manage foreign currency transactions, monitor exchange rate fluctuations, and record forex gains or losses.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and sales departments for smooth financial coordination.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems
