Job Description
The Accounting Assistant supports the team through the coordination and management of accounting related tasks. Under the direction of the Branch Controller, this role is responsible for assisting in tracking all of the financial components of the project such as costs and billings ensuring that all responsibilities and processes in support of the assigned project are timely, accurately and efficiently completed.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with billing preparation, including AIA, Work Orders and T&M billings.
Assist with executing Change Orders in Spectrum, ensuring the value and scope are correct.
Assist with monthly/weekly billings via external portals such as Textura, Procore and other software.
Work with Project Managers on schedule of values, change orders and monthly progress billings.
Maintain accurate and organized records in shared drives and accounting systems (e.g., Spectrum)
Ensure timely and accurate document uploads and data entry.
Assist with coordination between office and field as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience in accounting, billing, and administrative support roles.
Strong organizational, communication and multitasking skills.
High attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office systems.
Discretion in handling confidential information.
Construction accounting experience a plus.
Work Environment:
Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
This position is full time, in person, on site.
Salary:
$50-65k based on experience
