Job Opportunity:

This is a full-time permanent position for an Accounting Analyst to ensure Innovative Automation’s daily journal entries posted within the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable sub-ledgers, along with the General Ledger, are accurate and that an effective paper trail is created.

What you’ll do:

Accounts Payable:

Daily monitoring and posting of invoices for suppliers.

Daily monitoring and posting of Debit Memos

Daily monitoring and posting of Cash & E-Transfer Payments

Monthly monitoring of Supplier Statements

Ongoing Supplier interactions regarding account status

Daily monitoring and posting of Employee Expenses including Credit Card Statements

Accounts Receivable:

Overall management of project billing – sales order creation, milestone billing setup

Daily monitoring of project milestone billing

Daily monitoring and posting of customer invoicing.

Ongoing interactions with internal Project Managers regarding project billing status

Ongoing customer interactions regarding outstanding accounts

Other:

Analysis of Operating Expense and or COGS Accounts at Year-end

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations.

Prepare and post complex journal entries.

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.

Support the budgeting and forecasting process.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

Provide support during internal and external audits.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency.

Backup to Reception when required.

What you’ll need:

Minimum Diploma in Business Administration or Related Field OR Equivalent Specialized Experience OR

Currently Enrolled in Diploma Program for Business Administration or Related Field and Carrying out a Co-op Position

Ability to work alone and self-supervise, while paying attention to detail, tight deadlines, and multi-tasking

Ability to occasionally lift and carry weights reaching 35lbs, and push and pull weights reaching 50lbs
