We are seeking a Accountant/Senior Accountant to join our Revenue Accounting team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our revenue financials. This position focuses heavily on month-end close activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. The ideal candidate brings a solid accounting foundation, exceptional attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment . A successful applicant will have a strong working understanding of ASC 606, with experience in application of the standard to a SaaS business model in the tech industry. In addition, the role will participate in SOX compliance, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. The position is based in Hyderabad and rolls up under Worldwide Controller Organization. Responsibilities Execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables (i.e. journal entries,, analytics and disclosures) Engage with external auditors and understand/respond to changes in the audit approach Keep up with industry trends and maintain up to date technical accounting knowledge Maintain documentation for all review and compliance work completed Deliver the highest standard of departmental, cross departmental and cross region customer service Work with the Revenue Recognition team and respective business partners to develop and maintain SOX Compliance Lead and assist with other special projects, as needed Time shift - Flexible to operate in extended EMEA shift \ US hours during financial close. Requirement 4+ years of relevant process experience (for the selected role) with ability to interpret and apply relevant US GAAP. Experience in SOX control documentation / execution Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently Understanding of ERP systems and willingness to learn quickly. Knowledge of other tools such as Workday Financials, Blackline, eGRC360, Tableau, Hyperion, Microsoft Excel, Slack, etc. is desirable Strong organizational and verbal / written communication skills Passion in process improvement and automation Willing to work in a challenging environment Strong ability to respond quickly to various requests Must be a self-starter - ability to self-motivate, adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment Unleash Your Potential When you join Salesforce, you’ll be limitless in all areas of your life.
