Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to support daily accounting operations and month-end responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks Online, understand GAAP principles, and take ownership of accurate and timely posting of transactions. You’ll play a critical role in keeping our financial data clean and organized, while supporting the accounting manager and broader team across multiple entities.

You are expected to work our regular business hours which are 8AM – 5PM Eastern Standard Time.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate posting of daily cash transactions in QuickBooks Online
• Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards monthly
• Manage accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Prepare and review journal entries and month-end accruals
• Maintain and reconcile all balance sheet accounts (e.g., cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets)
• Assist with month-end close and internal financial statement preparation
• Maintain supporting documentation and audit-ready schedules
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal accounting standards
• Identify and recommend improvements in accounting processes and organization
• Provide ad-hoc reporting and support to management as needed

Requirements:
• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP accounting
• Intermediate to advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in real estate or property management
• Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

• Client Relationship : You will be directly working with the client. This means that you will communicate with the client, provide services, and address any client-related matters independently.
• Payments : All payments for your services will be handled by the client. Elevate and Delegate is not involved in processing your payroll. Your salary will directly go to you.
• Vacation Leaves and Holidays : While we may have recommendations or guidelines regarding vacation leaves and holidays, the decision is entirely at the discretion of the client. You are expected to align your schedule with the client’s business needs and any specific policies or preferences they may have in this regard.
