A Day in the Life

The External Reporting Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Team offers services for multiple key financial processes including Statutory and Corporate Income Tax reporting. The team is diverse and multicultural, with most members located in Heerlen and others working remotely. It is part of a larger, dynamic finance organization, serving a wide range of EMEA region countries. To be successful in this role you need to have a foundational understanding of statutory reporting and an eagerness to develop knowledge across various accounting and tax requirements.

You should be a collaborative team player with a hands-on mentality, demonstrating curiosity and a willingness to learn. Good verbal and written communication skills in English, attention to detail, a problem-solving mindset, and an interest in improving processes and leveraging new technologies will help you thrive in this position.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Gather and reconciliation of external audit deliverables
• Support in preparing financial statements and tax accounting
• Local reporting requirements
• Initiate and follow up on tasks related to vendor invoice processing and payments by coordinating with the relevant teams
• Complete regular tax reporting tasks
• Support projects and initiatives for continuous improvement

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor’s (HBO) degree in Audit or Accounting
• 4+ years relevant working experience in accounting, audit or other finance roles
• Good communication and coordination skills in English

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
