You will 

Handle full-cycle accounting for corporate entities 

Prepare multi-level consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures for corporate entities 

Prepare and analyze working papers for corporate entities, ensuring that financial information provided is timely and relevant for effective decision making 

Prepare and review partnership equity interest calculations  

Track and reconcile intercompany and other accounts  

Prepare financial statement analysis 

Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and assist with electronic banking administration as required 

Review the monthly and annual GST returns 

Mentor and develop junior team members by providing support and guidance 

Evaluate, develop, implement and document improvements to accounting procedures and systems to maximize efficiency and quality in the accounting group 

Research and prepare technical accounting analysis and accounting issues for compliance with accounting standards 

Assist in the year-end financial audit  

Support financial systems improvement initiatives including ERP systems conversions 

Assist and provide support on property tax administration and municipal property tax filing.  

Liaise and communicate with other departments to obtain required information on propertie

Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required
 

You have  

2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably for a complex multi-entity organization, including exposure to consolidated financial statements  

A CPA designation (an asset) 

Strong understanding of ASPE, experience with REALpac (an asset) 

Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Great people skills, able to relate well to others and state your case 

Real Estate industry experience (an asset)

Salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 per year estimated, based on experience and qualifications
