We are a looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant /Bookkeeper to support our day-to-day finance operations for one of the leading Australian based IT Managed Services Provider.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys maintaining clean books, working with structured processes, and bringing consistency to financial operations.
Responsibilities::
• Perform daily bank reconciliationsEnsure all bank transactions are accurately recorded and matched against internal records on a daily basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and issue invoices; manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and follow up on outstanding paymentsGenerate accurate invoices in a timely manner, maintain up-to-date AR records, and proactively follow up with clients to ensure timely collections and healthy cash flow.
• Process payments for approvalPrepare and organize payment runs, verify supporting documentation, and submit payments for approval while ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
• Manage Profit First allocationsAllocate incoming funds across designated accounts in line with the Profit First methodology, ensuring disciplined cash flow management and financial stability.
• Produce monthly financial reportsPrepare clear and accurate monthly reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow summaries, to support business decision-making.
• Create, refine, and document accounting processes and SOPsDevelop and continuously improve accounting workflows, documenting standard operating procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability.
• Support ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as neededAssist with various finance-related and administrative activities as required, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the business.
Your Profile::
Must-Have Experience
• Hands-on experience with Xero
• Strong understanding of GST and Australian bookkeeping compliance
Nice to Have (Highly Regarded)
• Experience working with an MSP / IT services company
• Familiarity with ConnectWise
• Experience with Wise-Sync & Wise-Pay
• Understanding of the Profit First methodology
Please note that this role follows a hybrid work setup (3 days on-site, 2 days work from home). The working hours will start from 2:00 AM Sri Lankan time, aligned with Australian business hours.
