As an Accountant (all genders), you will work closely with your colleagues to manage the general ledger accounting for our international operating entities and holding companies. You can look forward to being part of a dedicated team and taking on a variety of cross-entity tasks that allow you to apply your expertise and further develop your personal skills. This position is based at our headquarters in Hamburg or in our offices in Berlin or Dresden.
Minimum Qualifications and skills
• You have a degree in economics, or a comparable qualification, and have gained at least two years of work experience in general ledger accounting or auditing.
• You see yourself as a proactive and reliable team member and enjoy working in a communicative and collaborative environment.
• You’re comfortable working virtually with colleagues at different locations.
• Clear and proactive communication comes naturally to you.
• You have solid skills in MSOffice, especially Excel.
• In addition to fluent German, you have a good command of English for communicating with our international contacts and our english-speaking colleagues.
What the role is about
• You take responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations and key processes involved in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. In this role, you serve as a point of contact for Controlling and other departments, such as Online Marketing or IT.
• You handle accounting topics with a focus on provisions, accruals, revenue recognition, and valuation of receivables.
• Youare responsible forplanning and executing internal controls and project-related tasks.
• You ensuretimelyandaccurateexecution of weekly payment runs and bank accounting.
• You identify potential for process improvements and implement them in collaboration with other Finance teams.
• You are responsible for account reconciliations and clarifications and act as a knowledgeable contact for external auditors.
