THE POSITION:
Boyd Interactive Canada Inc. is looking for an Accounts Payable Coordinator to support the daily operations and assist in the month-end close, etc.
Overview of the role:
Ensure accurate processing of all AP transactions (invoices, employee expense reports, credit card statements, etc.)
Oversee and, where necessary, process vendor and employee payments in accordance with established deadlines
Verify employee expenses reports in accordance with the organization’s policies
Maintain organized vendor and employee AP files
Respond to AP enquires from external and internal stakeholders
Review the AP subledger on a regular basis and make adjustments as necessary
Provide support and backup to the Accounts Receivable function
Assist in the preparation for the annual audit
Assist overall month end process.
Complete journal entries, as required
Analysis/reconciliation of accounts as required.
Work Ad hoc and other duties as needed.
Filing
Qualifications & Experience:
2 years of related accounts payable experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced knowledge of MS Office products, primarily Excel
Ability to prioritize and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks
Sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
Excellent verbal, written and listening skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong accuracy, attention to detail, investigative, and analytical skills
Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize and meet deadlines.
Must be able to work overtime during month end (1st 8 days of each month).
Well organized with attention to detail
Proven team player with ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
Ability to adapt readily to change
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, preferred
