About the Role
As an Employment Specialist at Express Employment Professionals–Champaign, you’ll own a full 360° desk: inside sales, recruiting, and account growth. What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
Fill Job Orders with Urgency
Fill 100% of qualified job orders by prioritizing speed and fit.
Take thorough, complete job orders and confirm fillability (associate availability & client timelines).
Coordinate interviews, assignments, and onboarding; complete Employment Verifications prior to assignment.
Follow up consistently to ensure high satisfaction with both associates and clients.
Recruit, Interview, and Retain Top Talent
Execute the Express Employee Selection Process to attract and qualify a strong, diverse talent pool.
Maintain a reliable bench across key skill sets to support daily fills.
Proactively pipeline “Most Placeable Candidates” (MPCs) and advocate for them with clients.
Drive Inside Sales & Account Growth
Make MPC calls weekly and additional inside sales calls daily (activity metrics set by the Franchisee).
Convert 100% of local Employment Verification calls into value‑add sales and/or recruiting conversations.
Build relationships with clients/prospects through weekly connects and updates on open orders.
Present the full range of Express services to broaden and diversify the client base.
Schedule appointments for the Sales Representative or Franchisee; complete client visits and safety tours.
Invite clients and prospects to marketing events and follow the Express Quality Control process.
Operate as One Team
Collaborate daily with teammates to ensure orders are prioritized and filled quickly.
Synchronize recruiting and sales efforts with Sales Representatives for maximum impact.
Cross‑trained to support Front Office Coordinator and Recruiting Specialist duties as needed.
Compliance, Quality & Administration
Administer Express systems and procedures with discretion and accuracy; document activity in the ATS/CRM.
Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational guidelines.
Maintain market knowledge (industry trends, pricing strategies, labor laws) and reference materials.
Resolve timecard/billing inquiries; assist with collections on delinquent accounts when needed.
Compose routine correspondence and reports as necessary.
Growth & Development
Meet regularly with your Team Leader/Franchisee for coaching and metrics review.
Use Situational Leadership language in meetings; prepare reports prior to 1:1s.
Commit to a quarterly Individual Development Plan (IDP) and continuous learning opportunities.

Qualifications
Required
GED or High School Diploma.
Customer service experience with strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn various technology platforms and ATS/CRM tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; effective under stress and deadlines.
Commitment to integrity, authenticity, healthy feedback, and brand representation.
Nice to Have
Experience in staffing, recruiting, HR, sales/inside sales, customer service, retail, restaurant services, or administrative roles.
Experience conducting client visits/safety tours and basic knowledge of pricing strategies.
Business acumen with a “big picture” view of how daily activity drives results.
Work Conditions
Occasional travel to client locations (with potential weather exposure).
Occasional out‑of‑town trips may be required.
