About the role

Semgrep is one of the fastest growing companies in the code security space and on the path to become an established industry leader.

As an Account Manager on the Digital Natives team, you will have the opportunity to serve as a dedicated resource and strategic partner for our existing Digital Native customers. You will extensively interact with Semgrep team members across Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Engineering, Product, and Marketing to ensure a positive customer experience and to expand Semgrep usage within our user base.

You will have the agency and resources to not only identify problems, but also solve them with a bias towards action. Reporting to the RVP of Mid-Market Sales, this position will give you the chance to make an impact at the highest level to maintain and expand Semgrep’s customer base. Our users are the judge here at Semgrep, and you will have the ability to keep our customers feeling happy, valued, and excited to be part of the Semgep journey.

You are ideal for this role if you have

• Experience in pre-sales roles including Sales, and Sales Development

• Superior communication skills and high level of emotional IQ

• Great organizational skills and acute attention to detail

• Ability to work cross-functionally with different departments

• General understanding of developer tools and technical acumen is a major plus

• Coachability, curiosity, and tenacity

What you will do:

• Take over the renewal process for Digital Native accounts (2,000 employees and below)

• Work with account executives to identify upsell and cross sell opportunities

• Conduct regular meetings with existing customers to establish overall sentiment/ identify concerns and address them head on/ improve overall customer satisfaction

• Partner with support, sales and technical account management teams to drive customer issues to resolution

• Crisply communicate with customers to confirm their renewals, complete them on time, and maximize Semgrep’s Gross Dollar Retention (reduce churn wherever possible).

Compensation:

• The estimated starting annual salary range for this position is $84,000 to $93,000* ($120,000 - $132,000 Uncapped OTE) USD. The actual base salary will be determined based on a number of factors, which may include job-related skills, relevant experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market data. In addition to base salary, total compensation may include equity, variable compensation, and benefits. We view equity as a meaningful part of our compensation philosophy and a way for employees to share in the long-term value they help create.

• Compensation ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted as the role, individual performance, or market conditions evolve.
